  • NFL Week One Recap and Highlights

Week One of the NFL season was exciting. This should come as no surprise. While there was a lot of excitement around the league, nothing topped the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football. This Tom Brady-led offense looked more like a machine than a football unit, executing with surgical precision on nearly every play. Brady threw for 517 yards, which is fifth most in NFL history. The nightcap for the Monday Night Football double header saw the Broncos fall to the Raiders, which somewhat of a surprise, especially considering the Raiders committed 15 penalties. It was also surprising because John Fox isn-t one to lose on opening night at home.

Another interested event was the Texans absolutely destroying the Colts by more than four touchdowns. It looks the Colts are helpless and hapless without Peyton Manning on the field. The other Manning ” Eli Manning ” didn-t look good, either. Actually, he looked lost versus a mediocre Redskins defense. The Giants fell 28-14 and don-t look like they have any desire to play whatsoever.

We can-t forget about the Jets vs. Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. What a game. The Cowboys came out like a bat out of hell. They led by 14 in the 4th quarter, but the Jets mounted a methodical comeback. After the traditional Tony Romo choke, the Jets won by a field goal.
