Who Will Win the AFC West
The AFC West is more predictable than any other division in the league. This is because the talent level is way off-kilter. If the league only consisted of the AFC West, there would be no parity whatsoever. The most talented team in the division is the San Diego Chargers. That goes without saying. They win the division almost every year. Their only problem is that they can-t win the big game in the playoffs. Phillip Rivers is still young, but if he wants to be remembered as one of the greatest, he better buckle down and do what he needs to do to win that big game. That said, that-s not completely fair to say considering the defense is often average at best.
Don-t be fooled by the events on Monday Night Football in Week One. The Broncos might have lost to the Raiders at home, but a key fumble meant a 14-point swing in favor of the Raiders. It also looked like the Broncos were a little surprised by the hunger of the Raiders. Look for the Broncos to avenge this loss in Oakland later in the year. Also look for the Broncos to be the biggest threat to the Chargers to win the division, even though they won-t get there. As far as the Chiefs go, they-re an explosive team, but they-re very inconsistent. They should end up around .500.
