The NFL is working on a radical plan to try to change the way in which kickoffs are done. They are proposing a situation in which the team that has just scored would receive the football at their own 30 yard line with a 4th a 15 to go for the first down. The team would then have the option of either going for the first down or simply punting the ball off to the other team.

The idea behind all of this is to try to reduce the number of violent hits that often occur when one team is returning the football against another. However, there are still many who feel that this is not enough to handle the problem. For one thing, the rule change is still calling for a punt to occur in most situations. Thus, the hits are still going to happen, and the impact of the rule change would be minimal at best in that situation.

It is unfortunate that the league has worked so hard to try to come up with a rule change to alter the game dramatically to spare players and has fallen so short of that goal. They really need to rework their entire game plan on this one and see what they can do to fix it. What’s 1 more click?

In order for the Broncos to win a Super Bowl Championship, they need a quarterback who has had success at the collegiate level and is able to motivate other high-paid athletes. There is no better candidate for these tasks than one of Denver’s favorite players, Mr. Tim Tebow. As Florida Gator fans found out when they jumped on the Tim Tebow bandwagon, anything can happen when you have the man, the myth and the legend as your quarterback. When it is Tebow Time, magical things happen that can make grown men and women cry like little babies.

Tebow is able to win games single-handedly with his amazing rushing abilities and the passion that he plays with. The current Broncos quarterback has none of these abilities and the team is suffering for it. Broncos fans are fed up with a boring quarterback that cannot win big games and they are demanding that the coaches play the quarterback who gives them the best chance to win games. While Tim Tebow may not be as good of a passer as the current Broncos quarterback, he is going to win big games and put more people in the stands than any other NFL quarterback.

So you’re a Broncos fan and your love for the team will never die no matter what, but what do you do about the trouble with Tebow? You know what I’m talking about and thoughts of Tebow can often conjure up thoughts of the old adage “one bad apple spoils the bunch,” but what exactly is it about Tebow that seems to really be dragging down the Broncos season. That’s what we’re here to discuss, today.

Tim Tebow is somewhat of a difficult subject to broach when you talk Broncos football and much of the problem isn’t in the man himself so much as his actions. If you get your sports channels through services like Cannon Satellite then you know what I’m talking about. Tebow is a nice guy and admittedly it’s normal for someone like him to experience a rocky start when beginning with any new team, but the logistical failures from his more memorable games go beyond excusable. We’re talking crucial throws snubbed and catches botched.

While it is true that the Broncos recently enjoyed a victory against the Steelers courtesy of the sudden Tebow turnaround, the young Bronco still has much to make up for. Let’s just hope it’s not too little too late.

In the midst of rehabbing his torn ACL hurt during the offseason, Terrell Owens is biding his team as he hunts for a new team interested in his receiving services. It certainly won’t be easy as Owens will turn 38 in December and is known for disrupting locker rooms like it-s part of his contract. For those reasons, many teams may turn away from Owens when he is healthy enough to begin playing in the NFL this year.

Some teams willing to give the six-time Pro Bowler a chance are the New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, and the Oakland Raiders.Confused? Here ‘s a little help . The Jets were not far from the Super Bowl last year and Owens may be the missing piece, but are the Jets willing to take on another aging receiver as they already have with Plaxico Burress? The Ravens have all the pieces in place for a Super Bowl run and may like a veteran with sure hands to help with possession receiving. The Patriots are notorious for taking chances on other teams’ discards (see Albert Haynesworth and Chad Ochocinco), but may feel they have enough questionable players already filling their roster. Lastly, the Raiders are another team who likes to fly blind at times and owner Al Davis is known for signing players he likes regardless of whether they have enough left in the tank or fit the scheme.

Terrell Owens may have some suitors when he comes back fully healthy and much depends on the wide receiver depth of NFL teams at that time as well as other injuries that may force teams to become desperate at that position.

Indianapolis Colts without Peyton Manning, can they win it all? The problem with the Indianapolis Colts everything revolves around Peyton Manning. It is different in other organizations as using a back up can be done easier than in Indianapolis. Peyton Manning is more than just a quarterback he is like having another coach on the field. He is an extension of the head coach, which makes it much easier for the players and team to be successful.

Without Peyton Manning, the Colts really have no chance of winning it. Yes, you can bring other people in, but they are no Peyton Manning.I found some more information here. The offense is built around Manning and no one else. This is why backup quarterbacks struggle to do well in the system that is designed for Peyton. Toss in the Colts defense is not as good as it once was it would be tough for the Colts to win without a healthy Peyton Manning. It can be done, but the odds are greatly against it. The only chance they would have would be the team would have to play better than they ever have before. Manning is the one element that can cover for other players weaknesses. They do not have that right now, so they will struggle to win.

The AFC West is more predictable than any other division in the league. This is because the talent level is way off-kilter. If the league only consisted of the AFC West, there would be no parity whatsoever. The most talented team in the division is the San Diego Chargers. That goes without saying. They win the division almost every year. Their only problem is that they can-t win the big game in the playoffs. Phillip Rivers is still young, but if he wants to be remembered as one of the greatest, he better buckle down and do what he needs to do to win that big game. That said, that-s not completely fair to say considering the defense is often average at best.

Don-t be fooled by the events on Monday Night Football in Week One. The Broncos might have lost to the Raiders at home, but a key fumble meant a 14-point swing in favor of the Raiders. It also looked like the Broncos were a little surprised by the hunger of the Raiders. Look for the Broncos to avenge this loss in Oakland later in the year. Also look for the Broncos to be the biggest threat to the Chargers to win the division, even though they won-t get there. As far as the Chiefs go, they-re an explosive team, but they-re very inconsistent. They should end up around .500.

Week One of the NFL season was exciting. This should come as no surprise. While there was a lot of excitement around the league, nothing topped the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football. This Tom Brady-led offense looked more like a machine than a football unit, executing with surgical precision on nearly every play. Brady threw for 517 yards, which is fifth most in NFL history. The nightcap for the Monday Night Football double header saw the Broncos fall to the Raiders, which somewhat of a surprise, especially considering the Raiders committed 15 penalties. It was also surprising because John Fox isn-t one to lose on opening night at home.

Another interested event was the Texans absolutely destroying the Colts by more than four touchdowns. It looks the Colts are helpless and hapless without Peyton Manning on the field. The other Manning ” Eli Manning ” didn-t look good, either. Actually, he looked lost versus a mediocre Redskins defense. The Giants fell 28-14 and don-t look like they have any desire to play whatsoever.

We can-t forget about the Jets vs. Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. What a game. The Cowboys came out like a bat out of hell. They led by 14 in the 4th quarter, but the Jets mounted a methodical comeback. After the traditional Tony Romo choke, the Jets won by a field goal.
