Into the second half, chances came for both teams and Trafford were definitely much better than they were in the first 45 minutes. However, even with Salford’s very young team they held out and kept a clean sheet. Both teams made loads of changes in the second half as well and as the sun light fell and the flood lights came on. The games finished at a slower pace but to be fair to both teams they were still trying to score.
In the past nine months the Vanarama National League has been to all four corners of this country on nearly every night of the week and witnessed some truly fantastic moments. Promotion battles, relegation battles, play-off battles and of course FA Cup triumphs and tribulations.
