On Sunday 16th September 2018, the Whalley Range Sunday Team had to take a break from their league campaign after just two games, to take part in the Preliminary Round of the Manchester FA Sunday Amateur Cup.
After getting a bye passed the Preliminary Round last season, the Whalley Range team weren’t as fortunate this time around as they were drawn out against Carrion Crow FC from the Tameside League.
At half-time it was 2-2 but unfortunately for Whalley Range it ended in a early exit from the County Cup as they went down 7-2 in the end. Going into the last fifteen minutes they found themselves 3-2 down, so pushed forward to get back into the game but ended up conceding a load of goals. South Manchester Sports Club <home> – 23rd September 11.00am Kick Off
On Sunday 9th September 2018, the Whalley Range Sunday Team headed to Partington to play their second game of the season in the Cheshire and Manchester Sunday Morning Football League. This time Whalley Range were away to Woodsend Athletic and after both sides lost 3-2 in the opening weekend, it meant both sides were after their first win of the season.
Unfortunately for Whalley Range it wasn’t to be yet again, but in a good game of football with some great attacking from the home side, the win went to Woodsend. Anyway, please check out the match stats and of course the video highlights below (once they are uploaded):

Carrion Crow FC <home> – 16th September 11.00am Kick Off
On Sunday 2nd September 2018, The Cheshire and Manchester Sunday Morning Football League season kicked off once again. In one of the matches in Division Two, it saw Whalley Range taking on a new team called Wythenshawe Wanderers that recently joined the league.
After an okay pre-season for Whalley Range, with eight goals scored, one win, one draw and one defeat they were confident of a good start to their league campaign. Especially with all the new lads that had joined the club to play alongside the older lads. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be, but in a good game of football the away side won.
